Beef O’Brady's Raises Funds for Hurricane Katrina & Rita Victims Through “DINE FOR AMERICA”
Help in the Relief Effort by Dining Locally at Beef O’Brady’s

Wednesday, October 5 to raise funds for the American Red Cross through a special nationwide restaurant fund-raiser called Dine For America. Helping those affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita is as easy as ordering from the menu. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference to survivors, victims, their families and the work ahead following the Hurricane Katrina and Rita disasters.
Beef O’Brady’s will be
donating 10% of sales and collect donations from guest and staff. One Hundred percent of funds raised through Dine for America will directly support the American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina & Rita relief efforts.
The Dine For America event was created by restaurants and their employees from across the country, united in the effort to help those affected by catastrophic national events.

Airshow Canceled due to Weather
The International Alliance Airshow at Fort Worth Alliance Airport is coordinated by the Fort Worth Aviation Heritage Association, a non-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation. Profits are dedicated to building the Aviation Heritage Museum.
This is the 17th year for the airshow it was moved from Meacham Airport to Alliance Airport in 1991. Major Performers have been the US Air Force Thunderbirds, US Navy Blue Angels, Canadian Forces Snowbirds, British Red Arrows, US Army Golden Knights, Canadian Skyhawks and Russian MIGS.
The airshow will be held at Alliance Airport on
September 24th and 25th, 2005. Performers will include the USAF Thunderbirds, Canadian Snowbirds and the US Army Golden Knights.

The Villages of Woodland Springs will be having its Fall Community Garage Sale on Friday October 14th, Saturday October 15th and Sunday October 16th.
All VOWS residents are encouraged to participate. In order to participate in this event, you must fill out the Fort Worth Garage Sale Application, three (3) days prior to the event, Click Here:

There is no fee to obtain a garage sale permit (but you may be ticketed if you don't fill out this simple form by the City of Fort Worth).
The Villages of Woodlands Springs will be promoting this event and many of our residents do participate. The sale hours are typically 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, but expect large crowds early!

The YMCA has partnered with the Villages of Woodland Springs in order to provide an exclusive youth soccer league. All children ages 3 to 12 that reside within the community are encouraged to sign up. All practices and games will be played on the community soccer fields.
A registration fee of $52 for YMCA members and $72 for non-YMCA members per child includes complete uniform (jersey, shorts, and socks) and trophy. The season will last from Aug. 20 – Oct. 8th. Any adults that would like to be volunteer coaches are encouraged to attend.
Registration will be at the VOWS athletic fields Gazebo located on Bray Birch Street on July 7th from 4:00pm to 6:00pm and July 9th from 9:00am to 11:30am. Please fill out the

Welcome to Mayfest 2005
Mayfest is a four-day, multi-event, outdoor community festival. The 33rd annual Mayfest will be held Thursday, April 28 through Sunday, May 1, 2005.
Mayfest began in 1973 as the Trinity River Festival - a celebration of the Trinity River greenbelt. Over the last 32 years, Mayfest has grown into an annual Fort Worth tradition that attracts up to 300,000 people.
The purpose of Mayfest is to raise funds for the community and strengthen the spirit of community-wide voluntarism, while promoting an awareness of the parks, streams and valleys.

Over 12,000 live tropical butterflies from Central America and Southeast Asia will flutter throughout the Fort Worth Botanic Garden’s conservatory during the entire month of March.
One of the most colorful species is the blue morpho, whose colors range from an iridescent turquoise to royal blue.
